Thanks for the sample code. It has given me an idea of how I might do what I want, albeit with a LOT more coding than in VFP.

I noticed in your code for ValidatingHandler you set e.Cancel = true if the value is out of range. In my experience, when the textbox text is bound to a value in a table, doing this causes the input typed by the user to be lost and the original value from the table to be restored. Is this your experience? If not, is there something I am overlooking or doing wrong or is there some trick to keep the typed text from vanishing?
