I think you refer to http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dv_foxhelp/html/folrflanguagereferenceforoledbdevelopment.asp. That's the first cite I found, too, in the help, which made me think it should work. However, if you scroll down in the topics you'll come to the one I mention of unsupported commands: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dv_foxhelp/html/folrflanguagereferenceforoledbdevelopment.asp.

Since it is the INDEX ON command that fails (if you break up your commands, I think you'll find that's the only part that does fail), I'd wager it's unsupported.

At this point it would seem to be officially, and grammatically, moot. *g*
