>My users want to preview a report and have a different form open to compare the report output with information on the form. This seemed like a simple request, but I can't seem to make it happen. Report is called from a form (modeless) that allows user to put in date range and other info. Once they click Print button, results are returned to cursor and command is issued

>The preview comes up but no other menu or form is available. When I add NOWAIT to the command that fixes the form/menu problem, but when I try to go to the next page of the report the Open Table dialog comes up. The calling form still exists, but it's like the preview can't find the data anymore. Changing the datasession on the calling form doesn't make any difference.

When I do this kind of thing the report's Dataenvironment contains the data being reported on. I'd place the cursor/table being reported on in the data environment of the report. When doing this I avoid the problem you've described. When looking in the Data Session window I never actually see the cursor/table being reported on.
