If you recall in the halcyon days of FoxPro ('89-'94) there were a lot of those types in our world too. Why? Because Fox could be coded pretty sloppily without adherence to any kind of methodology. Nowadays, you almost have to be a student of Booch or at least have a passing familiarity with OOP standards (aka professional) to use VFP. Thats one reason why we went from 3-4 million developers to about 500,000. Almost all of the amateur coders went bye-bye.

I would venture to say that MS is fully aware of the overall professionalism of the VB programming community and this is why they are very slow to adopt as great of an OOP model as Fox has. They probably figure they would lose a great number of VB adherents and THAT is MS worst nightmare.
