I'm not sure how I'm trying to update them :) I want it to function just as the standard vfp, Word, etc. buttons do, with automatic updates when text is selected, etc. My thinking is to either get this info from somewhere like vfp system menu or toolbar (which will still be available since I'm using top-level with _screen OFF), or add vfp standard buttons to my toolbar...open mind here, just looking for any way that will work well...
