Hi,

i have a vfp7 database 'mydatabase.dbc'. The connection to the database is made by a connection 'mydbconnection' using a datasource,userid and password. I don't use a connection string. In this database i have some remote views.

I want to change the connection name but that is giving some problems when i want to open my views. For ex. asking for uid and pwd. Strange because only the name of my connection is changed.

So i concluded that the connectionname is saved in the view also. And if i would like to change the connectionname/string i have to make some changes to the information concerning my views.

So i thought that i could open 'mydatabase.dbc' as a table and make the neseccary chances there. Only..... there is so much information in this table and the connection name is also the name of my project.... So i'm doubting what i have to change and what not. And if i make the changes overthere will that be the solution of my prob or must i change information concerning this connection somewhere else to ?

Could somebody give me a boost ?
