I did see where Karl Perterson had to admit that VB owes quit a bit to FoxPro for the advancements in data access methodologies. Of course, he then said something to the effect that he doesn't develop DB apps nor has any desire to do so.
One thing in VB and Delphi which I appreciate is the databound controls which refresh as the record pointer moves. This seems more efficient than refreshing the entire form as in VFP. I would like to see this technology incorporated in VFP. Of course, with a true OOP environment like VFP, I could subclass the components to do so, eh? :)
By the way, do you anticipate writing a more in depth book abouth VFP's capabilities in the OLE Server arena? Do you know of any books similar to the "Unleash" series for VFP which often cover such advanced topics?
