Use the report generator instead. I don't think you should be using @ say commands in VFP5 - however, you probably have good reason to. One thing I found in my old FoxDos days was an inconsistency between set printer to and set printer off at the end of the print run - some jobs had to have them swapped round to make them work correctly.
