I was building my ISE setups. Tested the install. Tested the uninstall. For first time folders (and some files) lingered in the target folders. Typically uninstall removes those - even removed parent folder if last uninstall was last app in the programs menu.

This did not happen. So I deleted the folders and the menu item. When I opened VFP 8 to run the app from the IDE, a "Installing Defaults" dialog appears - hard to cancel out.

So I look at my "Add/Remove Programs" listing and I see my VFP 7 has the setup icon, and my VFP 8 has the old "brown" fox icon.

What is "Installing Defaults", and what could I have done to excite that guy?

I am going to uninstall (and reinstall) VFP 8 and 7, and install shield. I am going to install the distributions I made earlier at the clients with the hope that nothing farkles.
