>Example: I, being from Canada, ask a question. Some USA developers are still p*ssed off because Canada did'nt go to war to Irak so they'll think "Scr*w him".

That is just as bad (and ridiculous) as foreign developers holding a grudge against me because my government went to Iraq. I am not responsible for my government's decisions and actions whether I agree with it or not. I have no control over what they do once they are in office.

Sad, hopefully neither happens here on the UT...

I think it is important for everyone on the UT to separate the 'chatter' section from the technical support section. The two have nothing to do with each other. I like to see the many different opinions expressed in the chatter section. Different opinions on world topics may not change your viewpoint but they do enrich your knowledge of world opinion at least. If it gets too agressive there, I try to remember that it is after all, only chatter. :o)

After I posted this, it made me think of my neighbor. I have one of the best neighbors anyone could have. His daughter is my daughter's bestfriend. We have completely opposing political viewpoints but I fix his computer all the time for him which is very important because he runs his own trucking business. He, in turn, always repairs my lawnmower when it needs it and believe me, with an acre lawn, that is greatly appreciated!

If we can live together in this world while holding differing political beliefs we can certainly develop together! :o)
