These are your main options:

  • Use a client/server approach. Use Visual FoxPro for the client side, but store the database in Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostGreSQL, etc.
  • There are some third-party products that can encrypt individual fields, for instance. At www.hallogram.com you can probably find some.
