Will,
Check this out.
http://www.cpanelthemes.com/fantastico.phpLook at the portals section. When you subscribe to a hoster that runs cPanel with Fantastico, you can install anyone of those CMS packages in oh less than 30 seconds. You can install one as the default web site to a domain or to a subfolder of the domain. So you can have all of these portals setup running at the same time in less than 5 minutes.
I am taking a serious look at imhosted.com I am currently using dZones.com and am not satisfied with them. dZones is where I first discovered Fantastico.
I use Mambo, have worked it very diligently and see it as the standout in open source CMS packages.
You can see my site at
http://www.ixsys.com.
Check out my Wiki link. That is a free mambo add in called a wrapper. You install the add-in. (amazing web based install system in its own rights). Now you have a menu tool of which you add a menu item that points to a URL and wraps that URL such that it looks like it is part of the site. Can you think of a AFP or Web Connect app running in this window ?????
I am about to purchase fantastico and setup on my own nix server outside my firewall so that I can install CMS packages very quickly for customers to use to make a decision with. I think these things are the best things since sliced bread for a small business to use to more easily have dynamic content that they have control over.
I think Mambo has the best potential to be able to tie in a companies internal fat application operations to a web presence. I.E. VFP application collecting internal data daily that needs to be pushed out to the web and utilized.
>Heya -
>What are you guys using for Content Management ?
>SO Far I've installed and tested:
