I have a Crystal Reports 9 report that produces a “Logon failed.” error in the viewer. My viewer form instantiates and appears on screen, but the report is never displayed. This happens ONLY in the runtime environment; on my development machine with VFP7 and Crystal 9 Developer installed, it runs fine. With judicious use of SET STEP ON, I’ve determined that the error occurs in the CRViewer.Viewreport() method. Now here’s the rub: another Crystal report that uses exactly the same Foxpro 2X data source (the only difference is in data grouping) runs just fine in both development and runtime environments, so I conclude there must be something wrong with the report itself, but I can’t find it. Can anyone help?
