We are trying to count the number of concurrent users of our application. The idea was to use a 'session' database, in which each user writes a record, but the problem is, there exists many reasons why the application is not properly closed. The session record stays alive.

Any suggestions?

P.S.: I use Mutex API to know how many times the application is started for a specific user, and would like to know if there exists a similar system that covers on a windows-level several workstations (or terminal server sessions)
