For me the major benefit is that the ASSERT statement is ignored at runtime.
In other words, an application wouldn't blow up if you forget ASSERT in there. :)


I agree with you. This is the ASSERT essence.

Sin that does not exist a compilation option that removes these from token code.

NODEBUG option not remove ASSERT.
You can assert this ?
