Walter, from a certain perspective, an object reference can be thought of as the actual object. I don't believe this is physically the case, but I can see how it may be taken that way in certain contexts. That doesn't mean it is wrong to look at it that way.

i'm enough in agreement on the rest, but on this not just.

Explain:

A ProcessId is the process ? No.
A Windowhandle is the window ? No.
A ObjectReference is the object ? No.
A VariableName is the variable ? No.
Mike is the person ? No.

Proof:
If ProcessId is the process,
then when i copy ProcessId i copy the process.
But this is false.
Then ProcessId is not the process.

The same is for Windowhandle, ObjectReference, Mike.
