>PMFJI, but where does data sessions come into play? I too have a multi-user application but I am buffering (optomistic, i think). Do I need to add my local views at private data sessions. never have really understood if I have buffering when or if i ever need to be concerned with private data sessions.
I understand you can both set a default for the form (Form.Buffering) and change the buffering mode for individual tables (Cursor.BufferModeOverride).
You can also open tables in the Form.Load() Event; this is the way to go if you need inheritance, previously to VFP8 (?), since in older versions of VFP, the DataEnvironment isn't inherited, and can not even be placed on a form-class.
