Does anyone know if the VFP Application Framework supports the use on auto-incrementing fields?

I am trying to build a one-to-many Form using the Form Wizard, Application Wizard and the standard VFP supplied application framework. However, I cannot stop the app framework from attempting to write to the auto incremental field, which than causes an error because it is read only.

Before anyone suggests throwing out the baby with the bath water is, I do realise that using the Application Framework is a terrible idea but it has come about because I have a customer/VFP newbie who has created a project using it but not quite managed to finish aforementioned project.

Alternatively does anyone know of a direct replacement framework for this.
