We may already have enough information to see exactly what's going on, but I'm a little concerned that we may have missed something.

There are a lot of different "paths" here and the more examples the better...

Meanwhile, for anybody else reading on this thread: please try the "one line for stretching objects" method.

It should be usable for you -- but if you find a case where it either does not resolve the issue discussed herein, or is not appropriate for your report design, I'm really very interested in seeing it!
