I'm well aware that DOS is far from Windows standards. The above was given as *only* an example of hotkey solutions for intense heads down data entry. Also, if F4 is just plain wrong why does it automatically work in VFP? Tab onto a dropdown combo, press F4 and the dropdown appears.

Also, I am writing VFP apps for a company that has used and is still using DOS based apps written in FoxPro 1 to 2.5 over the last 8 years. These key combinations are used throughout and though some may not match Windows 100% they are, by default of user familiarity, a standard.
