In your reply to Barbara I read all of your tables are already in DE and data session is set to default (I wouldn't suggest default session).
If so then execute 'set exclusive off' before calling your forms (or in DE.BeforeOpenTables have set exclusive off) and remove the load code. Load runs after DE is loaded. Set buffermodeoverride properties of cursors in DE (ie: BufferModeOverRide = 5 means cursorsetprop('Buffering',5,'alias') for that cursor.
