I am still pondering why this is the default behavior???
I already reported it to MS but the page for reporting bugs hinted that you would get no feedback. (I am assuming MS is too smart for that!) I will put this on UT bug list sometime soon... I discovered some other useful things...the drop down accepts a left click, mousescroll, (both fire interactivechange) but no other event seem to fire...no mousedown, mousemove, no rightclick...if the right click is going to move the record pointer you would hope it would fire the right click event...it doesnt! It is apparently doing this in vers 7.0 and 8.0 ...hopefully not in 9.0! It would seem to defeat the purpose of using an alias (rowsource = 2) I like one line of code to get the users input!
lcvalue = somecursor.somefield
oh well...if it was simple i wouldn't get paid so much!
next i need to test this if the user reprograms the mouse using common 3rd
party software...
thanks
mike
