I have experienced similar problems using VFP 6. I created a simple program called s.prg that resides in the root directory that contains clear all, close all and clear program (along with some on key settings for comments). It doesn't make sense to me, but I found that if I run the program twice prior to doing a build then I don't receive the error. Just do \s, up arrow and run it again. For whatever reason, it seems to always work.
