I deleted all references in the form to the cntAddress. Now when I try to add the container from my User Controls, I get the error:

An exception occurred while trying to create an instance
of Quay.Control.cntAddress.  The exception was 
"Application.CompanyName and/or Application.ProductName 
are empty and they're needed for the DefaultName.".

I put a message box on my main form to show application.companyname and application.productname and they display just fine. So something else is afoot.
