I am familiar with frames, but need an alternative. The separate, resizable container cells that I have are closely coupled, so maintaining state and sharing objects between them is more cumbersome than it would be if they were all in a single page that could contain all my code behind.

I want a container control that allows me to define resizable sub-panes. You can manipulate window contents with scrollbars without hitting the server. I would not want to have to repost to resize the containers. I'm not sure that browsers could even support such functionality.

Anyone know of such a component or have suggestions for writing one?
