Assuming that you are a U.S. citizen, chances are 99.99% that you will have no trouble entering Canada. Of course, especially these days, they don't just take your word that you are who you say you are so you had better brings something in the way of ID that at least confirms where you actually live and better showing your actual citizenship. Even a expired passport serves for this purpose between Canada/U.S. (that's exactly what I used my last trip in Dec. 2003 to San Fran from Toronto).
