ah !
Dude !
Of course it sounds better.
YOU KNOW WHY ? ??!?!?!?!
1. You have direct experience with it .
2. You were able to DO something with it in bundling up a VFP app for distribution and setup.
3. You were able to regurgitate it to another.

My Dialogue with mR. tHurber isn't like that - he doesn't have any experience with it and would prefer to bemoan his 'problems' with ISE. He had bemoaned to me several months ago, and I suggested InnoSetup to him. He never took the ball and ran with it . *SIGH* Now we get this missive from daThurberObject. [err...sorry... daThurberObject.enumTitle.Value='Mister']

Moving Forward ?

Terry did bring up some interesting points in his last post in this thread - suffice it to say his reverse existence of ISE was enumerated in a list of things he would HOPE InnoSetup would solve for him. The Good News is - is that all of his points to 'solve' with InnoSetup are Solved with InnoSetup -
but ? I guess since it was words outta *MY* Mouth - he's not gonna take the plunge. I don't know why. Though I'm glad he's here on UT - I had to badger him for 4 months to even look at this website, then another 2 months to actually join (psssssssssst - Membership is *FREE*). I'm happy he has - but in the same breadth ? I'm not going to waste much bandwidth on Terry bemoaning anything. I remember badgering him about going to the Houston UG meetings as well, now he puts out the posts and announcements for the meetings. Must I Twist His Arm ? blech - not my job. *IF* and *WHEN* he actually gets an MSDN U subscription I'll buy him a case a beer and Some TigerBalm Hemmorhoidal Salve.

In the meantime.

If you would be so kind [if you haven't done so already] to review David's original thread here, and put up - oh say - 3 to 4 items in a list of why you Use InnoSetup ? I would really really really really appreciate it .

Mondo regards, and yes, gufen xBase [Bill]
PS to Terry - Dude - Tempus Fugit - now will you ?
