Jamie,

>I'm running in File Mode - always have been due to the fact that the system is still in a state of constant development.

Running 1 instance in File Mode or several? If several, have you checked to see if the problem disappears when running just once instance?

>There was a power out (the UPS misbehaved for some reason). After reboot I reindexed all files and all data seemed fine. I did a "Check Consistency" test on the raid array (a raid array function) and it came up fine.

You said earlier that you deleted and recreated the indexes. That's what you mean by "reindexed," right?

>I'm stumped as, to my mind, it must be something to do with the WC app as the local apps never have a problem.

I'm stumped. However, more details might help someone have a flash of insight.

  • What version of VFP on the desktop app as well as the WC app?
  • Is the missing data just a newly-inserted record or does it involve data that was there for a good while?
  • If recently-inserted data, was the data inserted from the WC app or the desktop app?
  • If data inserted from the desktop app, does another instance of the desktop app always see it or just the app that inserted it?
  • Is the query in the WC app hard-coded or is it constructed from Request.Form or Request.QueryString contents?
  • Any other details you can give
