I really don't think there is a way, with the built-in report writer (that is why I suggested the alternatives). Perhaps someone else has a novel idea.
Oh, well, I had forgotten the possibility of re-organizing your records. This will only work for a fixed size, on the report, for each record.
For example: you figure out that you will have 10 records in each column; so the first (left) column would have records 1-10, the second (on the right), records 11-20. With a program, you can change the order of the records.
This will be very problematic not only if you have records of variable height, but also if you need data grouping. The problem is, VFP doesn't seem to offer a built-in capability for this. You might put it on the wishlist, for the next version.
