Sometimes when you try to open the table, you'll get a "Repair" option. That usually works for me. If you don't have a backup, and you don't get a repair option, there are some third party repair utilities. Check out http://www.hallogram.com/foxfix/ and http://www.abri.com/recover.html If all else fails, you may have to create a new empty FPT, which means you'll lose all of your memo data.
