I am trying to automate Mail Merge from a VFP App using the guidelines in the MS Office w/VFP book from Hentzenwerke Publishing. I am using .CreateDataSource in Word and am getting an error that my list of fields is longer than 255 characters.

What I am trying to accomplish is to create a single set of fields that the users can use as a header source to create thier own merge documents. The application we are replacing used individual table structures for each document. It was very difficult to manage.

Is there a way to get this to work without haveing to keep my field list to under 255 chars? I want the field names to be descriptive.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
