Mike - This is the first major application that I used views. Bought Stonefield SDT and create a DBC and rolled it out as a standalone DBC not realizing the conflict problem of opening views. If I could start over again I would consider separating the views, but I am over 2500 hours into this project and am almost to the end and I don't want to redo what I have already done if the RETRY method works.
When I open a view with use v_xxxx in 0 nodata, how is it that having the dbc as part of the application rather than standalone eliminates the conflict problem of have several people hitting the dbc at the same time and one getting locked out? Are there any other advantages to having the dbc as part of the application?
I don't know about you but the more I learn about VFP, I find the less I know about it.
Thanks
Gaylen
