I have a application made with VFP 6 SP 5.0
Tested under Win2003 Server, Win XP Pro.

This application is in version 10. Work fine from several years. However, this days the error 0x800706ba (RPC Server unavailable) is displayed at random times, random places. Not further information is provided (like line number, function, etc...). Obvious, we make changes to code, but not can figure if the problem is because that...

We *think* that is related to launch several local apps or launch several networked users, but NOT SURE.

The problem is clear: We instance a COM object, then the COM Object is RELEASED but not for US. The instance lost the reference and in the next time we acces them the error is displayed. Is not related to have the normal 3 min time-limit in the package, because a)This is the default setupo that work for years b)We try put it in forever

We note a extrange behaviour under COM+ manager:

When a objects is never accesed, the activated column display nothing. Then when the app launch, display 1, when we release is 0. But when the problem happend, the package is RESTARTED.

Exist a error (not message appear). The event log record:

Nombre de la aplicación de servidor: GYGCOM
Proceso finalizado por error grave.

ole32!CoImpersonateClient + 0x345
ole32!UpdateDCOMSettings + 0x4672
ole32!CoQueryAuthenticationServices + 0x2318"

But i don't figure how track it, how debug it or how found the cause.

Keep in mind: We test under local and network setup...
