Hi Ravi,

It sure looks like you've done all of the 'standard' stuff, and then some.

The following are just thoughts that might be worth considering as well:

1) You don't mention if the VFP8 is SP1. If it is NOT then you might consider applying SP1. In particular there was a 'slowdown' regarding buffered (with changes pending) SQL-Update/SQL-Delete that I think was fixed in SP1. Refer to: Re: SQL update in VFP8 Thread #799850 Message #799959

2) I wonder if 64 meg. (your workstations) might be a tad small for VFP8. We know that the VFP Team did fixes (and who knows what else) with CDXs and, given the volumes you speak of, it *could* be that they (now) require more RAM than did VFP6. Possibly SYS(3050) can offer relief here. I'm no expert on that.

3) I *guess* that your implementation of VFP8 did include some new functionality. Maybe if you described the nature of the changes someone might remember something in them that affected them.

good luck

>Earlier we are using Vfp 6 application and there is no problem regarding the speed ( average speed 10 records in 5-6 sec.) Now, we have compiled the same application in VFP8.0 and updated on the server. After 2-3 days, we found that the network goes slow down at the time of inserting the rocords ( average speed 10 records in 12-15 sec.). The records updating speed is normal, when we have entered the records from 2-4 system.
