Title:
SQL Server Backend Data
I have a SQL Server Database as the backend to an application that is using remote views to access and update the data.
Does anyone have an automated or non-automated procedure for making sure that my remote views stay in proper defintion re: the SQL Server Data.
If I change the field length of a character field in SQL Server, the remote view is "shot."
I'm guessing i need to drop and then re-add the remote view to fix this, as the remote view fails to allow me to change its defintions via the properties in the wizard.
I used to do all of this in Stonfield when I used local views, but recently I moved my data to SQL Server for performance reasons.
Thanks in advance.
Dave
