Yes I'll try to...

I currently have a VFP6 and SQL Server 2000 financial trading application that presents a position monitoring form to a market maker. In VFP6, this issues a refresh to get the latest buy and sell positions by means of a timer every 2 seconds.

This worked fine for upto say 20 dealers, but now there is talk of it being used on a trading floor with 200 dealers and in .Net, i.e. it doesn't scale.

What I need is a means of distributing updates to a form using a push model, not the old pull one. Different groups of dealers would be looking at different groups of markets, so I'd need to have some means of passing this group to view when making the connection. That's it really. Perhaps a simple ASP.Net page would do, however I was intending the application to be written as Win Forms.

TIA,
Simon
