My question has to do with problems with installing my software on a Windows XP Machine.

Both my operating directory and the WINTT/System32 directories are "Read Only" in the NTFS File properties.

The technician for my client is unable to remove the "Read Only" check box even when he is logged in as the Site Administrator. He says that Windows XP does not permit anyone to change the "Read Only" Folder property. He also says that all the other software on my client's computer works fine, it is just VFP that doesn't work. (I am using VFP 6.0 but I could recompile this in VFP 8.0 if that would help).

Has anyone else run across this problem? Is the "Read Only" check mark significant in Windows XP and is there any way around this?
