Use SYS(3050) to limit foreground and background data buffers for your VFP app. If your server has 1GB memory, and you have 20 concurrent users, make the limit is something like 20MB (20 MB x 20 users = 400 MB). Given that VFP uses some more memory for objects, and the OS needs some, this should work OK. More users mean more server memory or smaller buffer sizes for VFP.

This update is included in Server 2003, so you don't need to worry if using Win 2003 server. Also, this problem doesn't occur in Win 2000 TS if the data is located on the TS server, rather than on a separate file server.
