The second 'SET @PersonnelID' was left over from my efforts in finding the problem. Both return the same value.
The information 'SQL Server will call a trigger once, regardless of the number of rows that are modified. ' is new to me, and actually suprises me. If that is the case, what value would be in inserted.DependantID for a multiple insert?
