I would recommend keeping the old reports (and even maintaining them with FoxPro/DOS) if you need fast printing in text-mode, to a dot-matrix printer (Epson printers are quite popular over here).

In this particular case, VFP reports are not at all appropriate; while you can use the ASCII clause, it takes a lot of experimenting to allign data correctly.

Of course, you could redesign your text-reports, for example, with my download #9991 - but I would recommend this tool only for new reports; old reports would have to be rewritten completely. Just keeping the old-style reports requires almost no additional work.

Apart from the case of fast printing in text-mode, I don't see any advantage in the old-style reports.
