Visual FoxPro and .NET
Hi
I'm curious about tests, because a generated XML can be much longer that original cursor.
1. Why a direct connection require a higher bandwidth?
2. True, but not necesary the best thing, unless all workstations will use the same browser and the same OS (I think here about all client side scripts that are necessary).
3. I have doubts about quality of these free development tools (I've tried Borland C# Builder free personal and SharpDevelop and my opinion is that are very limited)
4. I'm not aware of the requirement of licensee fee for ODBC/OLEDB drivers for an istalled application
5. Why faster TRANSFER of data? I ask this because, with capability of foxpro to handle local data, by contrary, a lot of bandwidth can be saved doing offline processing an having data for lokoop lists or static data saved locally.
This also apply to a WEB services scenario.
