It is true that if you are selling a package product, in order to distribute Peter Blum's date control package you are going to pay more. On the other hand, in most cases we are talking about in-house projects or custom projects for clients. If your clients want the control, they can license it for the $50 dollars. It really isn't a problem. And the depth and quality of the Blum's controls are far superior to Infragistic's meager date control.

Regards,
Carl.

>Note, however, that Blum's control is not free for distribution with your package, though. You need to pay $50.00/server. If you pay $500.00, you can distribute it with your software without any restrictions.

>Why not get the Infragistics suite, which gives you a good date control plus all kinds of other stuff for roughly $500.00, and as I understand it, you are free to bundle those controls with your applications without any royalties.

>>>It's not quite free - but the price is very reasonable (about $50) for Peter Blum's Date Control Package (www.peterblum.com). There are many different kinds of date and time pickers including text boxes and drop downs included in Peter's date control package. None of the free controls are robust. I've tried them all, and settled finally on Peter Blum's package.

>>Carl,
