Offhand, I'd say it might have something to do with vfp5 (very old) and Win2K (fairly new, and not around when vfp5 was designed).

To test, you might forget about the install (setup wizard) for a moment. Or else, do a new build with no tables/indexes included, maybe try that also. The idea is just to make sure the vfp5 runtimes will run okay on Win2K.

To test this (if you haven't yet), just create a new folder on Win2K, dump all the vfp runtimes in the folder, then build a very, very simple EXE that does almost nothing (maybe just pops up a messagebox from a PRG), and put this also in the same folder. See if the simple EXE runs. If it does, then go back to trying to get the setup wizard to work using the index clue provided. If it still won't install, you may want to try Installshield or Wise, something more flexible for installs.

Just some ideas. What you're doing, I have never attempted: vfp5 vs. Win2K.
