It means that Form.Lockscreen = .T. while the msgbox is displaying, which prevents the Form from repainting. Make sure that Form.Lockscreen is .F. before displaying the messagebox().
>In only some cases if I create a popup messagebox() form and when it is displayed, move it around the screen, it will effectively 'erase' the form behind it. It does not happen in all cases and I can see no 'activate screen' or other command that may have an effect on this. What else can cause this?
