>Some how it is hard to say who was or is worse – Batista or Castro. It is like comparing the devil with the devil.

The citizens of Cuba hated Bastista. The gangsters and US corporations loved him (I learned that from the Godfather movies:-). Castro walks through the streets without personal security. Cubans love him. How many world leaders can make that claim?

You watch movies and read epic novels, right? Who is the good guy? It sounds like you're making David out to be the villian and Goiliath to be a misunderstood hero. In humanities' books and mythology - the bad guys have the finance, weapons, big space ships (Darth Vader?), the good guys are moisture farmers on Tatoonie, trying to hold together condensers with bailing wire (Cubans have Sugar Glue)!

My granny once suggested the devil (if you believe in such superstition) would be well groomed, in a three piece suit and look like a preacher man. Not a peasant leader.

If they only had oil, I'm sure the DOD would be hinting that Cuba had WMDs! They tried to make the case that Cubas Menigitus Vaccine was a WMD. Infant formula was a WMD once. Remember? That sunk quickly, and no Cubans had to taste Napalm! These are crazy times. Time to go back to the classics to understand notions good and evil. Germans, under Hitler, were deprived of that. All they got was what Gooebles told the national media to publish. See any similarities with whats going on today?

The Cubans have a lower infant mortality rate than the US (a longer life span too!), despite the sanctions. Why do we sanction Cuba, but not China? Cuba has one of the best human rights records in the world - better than US or China. That being said - it's hard to understand why you'd compare Batista to Castro. Batista was hated. Castro is loved!

Ben Franklin once said:
A man that prefers safety over liberty deserves neither (or sumpin like that). You should rent Oliver Stone's "Finding Fidel" - maybe an opposing view will offer some balance to these crazy times:-)

Here's another note for you on Cuba. Guantanamo is being leased by the US, right? Fidel has never cashed those checks! How can the Devil have so much integrity?

Those Sunday morning talk shows will grow hair on your palms and make you go blind! Leave the TV off this Sunday, and chase down links like:
