Ouargh Ouargh Ouargh - Help !

I understand that using a DataView to display rows in a grid, allows us to control the AddNew property to prevent the extra row with the * in the left column. Great that's fine, BUT...

I display a reports table with the reportsDetail child table in the DataGrid.

It displays fine, but I cannot get rid of the extra row with the * !

I tried using the DataViewManager, but cannot seem to change the properties of each DataView of AllowNew to False.

I also tried using the DataRowView.CreateChildView(). I managed to get the * out of the first DataGrid display (reports), but not from the child ReportDetails when the user presses the + to see the child rows !!!

It should be simple... No ?

Any Ideas ?
