It's hard to figure out from your post exactly what is changing colors that you don't want.

Are you running under a themed Windows environment? Inactive pages under themes do have a dimmed color compared to the current active page. You can turn off themes at the O/S level by switching to the Windows Classic Theme (that's what I use all the time) you can use the Themes property of the form to control it from in VFP.
