>>Cubans live in Cuba, Americans live in New Orleans. The Cubans will create their democracy in there own time. Look how democracy building is faring across the sea. It don't look being liberated is all it's put up to be.

Hi Dmitry,

I guess there are a few things that come to mind...

1) I have a HUGE problem with people who come here (U.S. or Canada, I don't care) but carry on their grievances from their homelands here. They allegedly come here to get away from that stuff, then stir the same stuff up here!

2) I observe that Fidel Castro can walk around the streets of Cuba without a huge entourage of shields in the form of bodyguards. That seems to tell me that anyone who WANTED TO could easily dispose of him. Yet no one does. Yet the exiles living 'here' want to do it (but they're not there to do it). What does this tell me. One thing for sure... that the exiles may be out of touch and living in the past.

3) If someone HERE passionately wants freedom and democracy for their homeland, then why aren't they THERE, making it happen???? Might it be that they are wanting someone ELSE to do the dirty work, then roll in and REclaim their property and live like kings there again???

4) I look at Cuba and I see quite a paradox. On the one hand an embargo has existed (a few restrictions eased in the last few years) for over 40 years, hurting ecomonic progress (and thus the people) there enormously. On the other hand, all Cubans get free health care and schooling free, including university level when they qualify.

I'm all for people who COME HERE agitating for improvements HERE. I am bothered by people who come here and then agitate to change things where they are form. If they want changes THERE, go agitate THERE!

cheers
