Also, back a few messages, you said that the standards say that you have to be able to access everything from the mouse and keyboard...apparently disagreeing with my statement that Windows standards promotes the use of the mouse (or something to that effect)...we all have controls on forms that are a mouse click away, but are 2,3,4,5, or more keystrokes away...right?

If you look at the official standards (see my reply to Jim Nelson in the Flashing Text thread), they are called Guidelines. I don't think Windows "standards" promote mouse over keyboard as they state that everything should be accessible through both. I think you need to keep your users in mind when designing applications. Heads-down data entry forms should use keyboard almost exclusively where a seldom-used lookup screen might be better with more mouse control.
