Oops...I forgot to mention that we already have some lines for totals in the group footer. Would it be hard to compensate for those as well?

Let's say in one case on the last page of the invoice there are 4 details lines but in another case there are 2 detail lines. How would I know this and how can I "grow" the blank lines correctly to ensure that the "tear off" portion always takes up the bottom third of the page? I would also have to make sure that "tear off" portion does not start on one page and end on another.

You'll have to pad out the last page of each invoice so its the correct number of lines (ie add some blank lines to pad it out). Not particularly elegant but it will work, I didn't something similar a while back.
